Hi John!  Photos of my GT during and after motor/ OD rebuild.  I made some stress-inducing mistakes trying to get it all perfect, and well – meaning fellow B owners didn’t help in that, but it finally worked out.
8.8 County pistons in a .020 bore
3 angle valve job with 8 new stainless valves and Teflon umbrella seals
head and block skimmed .002 (they were flat already, and crank was in perfect cond.)
Vandervell main and rod brgs
head and manifold port-matched
rods shot-peened & balanced
Delta D9 cam and hardened tappets, and 2-degree offset cam key for proper timing
flywheel lightened a few lbs
new alloy oil pan
At 1800 miles in 2 months it’s running ferociously well, and I just remembered it’s 4 yrs TODAY it came into my life.  I’ll stay in touch, best regards!
