Joanne Verlinden took delivery of her MGA about a month ago, and sent us a picture of it. Joanne says, “Enclosed is a picture of my 1998 Jaguar XK8 alongside my stunningly beautiful MGA, parked at Boat Meadow Beach on Cape Cod at low tide The beach is four tenths of a mile from our home here on the Cape and, of course, a perfect backdrop to showcase these two cars. So … I thought you all would like to see where the car that you worked on so carefully for the last year will be living. I can’t help but smile every time I step into the garage (which I do several times a day) just to stand and gaze at my MGA. It is now licensed and titled here in Massachusetts and will soon be roaming through the towns and hamlets of Cape Cod – only in good weather of course!”

I wish I had taken a before picture! The guys down at Koenes Auto Body have out done themselves again! Walter Wells brought us his 54 TF for some mechanical repairs and asked that we send the car out for detailing. We sent it to Koenes, who does all of our paint work (incredibly well I might add.) They buffed it out, touched up a few small spots, and now the car looks absolutely amazing!
It was an honor and a pleasure to restore Joanne Verlindens MGA. Today it is on it’s way home to Massachusetts. Thanks to TN Transport for the great service!
John at University Motors Ltd. Suggested that you might be able to help me learn more about the car in the attached photo. This was my grandfathers car in approximately 1935.
The only thing my Mother could tell me about it was that it was red. The picture is believed to have been taken in Kilkeel Northern Ireland.
