Q & A: Midget Fusebox
There are several brown wires that have what looks like a heat shrink covering on them that are in the area of the fuse box. We think we have identified all of the wires that do go to the fuses box, but these are extras. The fuse box had been relocated and all of the original wires had been spliced so not many of the original wire colors were present. We have put it back in it's proper location and connected the wires to the correct terminals according to the wiring diagram. Again this is on a 1978 Midget.
I think there is a top and a bottom when looking at the fuse box like on a B. How do tell the correct orientation when installing the fuse box?
The fusebox is fitted upside down from the MGB orientation. That is, the two bridged connections are at the bottom. The wires from the top to the bottom on the battery side should be: Brown; White; Empty; Red/Green. The wires from the top to the... read more
